Colt Brennan

Position: QB
Height: 6' 3"
Weight: 196 lbs
40 Time: 4.84
Projected Pick:1st Round

Scouting:

Brennan first started with Saddleback Community College after being denied his scholarship to Colorado, but he worked his way back to have a walk on invitation to Hawaii. This has worked well for him leading the nation in passing last year. One reason for this is a Passing heavy system at Hawaii this downplays his success. If he had these numbers without the pass heavy system he could off possibly been a top 5 pick. The Schedule for Hawaii this year is very easy and it is very probable that Brennan will have a big year this year.

Pros:

He has the pocket pressence to stay in any line in the NFL he is confident with his ability even though he is a little shorter than most QB's in the NFL. He is a very efficient passer in 2006 he had a passer rating of 182.8 and a completion percentage of 72% even though he didn't have that many offensive weapons at Hawaii.

Cons:

He may be the product of a pass heavy system which means nothing for his stats besides he gets the ball alot. His actions that took his scholarship away at Colorado may play into some teams not drafting him even though he says that is behind him. Also Brennan is very thin, if he gets sacked many times who knows what could happen.
